Flounder Dress - Jersey - Priscilla Rose Howe Print
Description
Sometimes a print is so good you want ALOT of it, you want to be enveloped by it and hence the FLOUNDER dress was born. The liquid jersey collapses around the body creating a soft cocoon like silhouette.
The FLOUNDER dress utilises almost the entire width of the fabric, with slightly upward facing armholes that create a gentle tulip like shape. The dress features a deep rounded neckline which can be worn either way round - making it fully reversible.
The dress also comes with an elastic strap/belt that can be used to hitch parts up or belt the entire dress to create Grecian like drape.
The style is the perfect vehicle for the print - this one featuring artwork by Ōtepoti based artist Priscilla Rose Howe. Priscilla Rose Howe's print celebrates a queer utopia, a utopia where beautiful sharp featured inhabitants gorge themselves in some a of orgiastic feast. The gorging is equal parts divine and disgusting (as many things are) and reminds us that while food is about a very base level of survival it's also kinda hot. This print is about revelry, about debauchery and about connection. Long live the orgiastic fantastic!
Please note, due to the large scale of the print the placement of the artwork will differ on each garment. This makes each piece a true unique one off.
