One of our favourite shapes - a voluminous dress with upward facing sleeves that create elegant drape through the body with delicate gathering in the side panels, wide sleeves and front pockets. The main hem and sleeves are all raw.
This piece showcases our unique George Hajian print. The digitally printed fabric combines a number of collage's from found imagery, textures and markings made by the artist and due to the large scale of the repeat, each garment is completely unique.
George Hajian is an Auckland based artist who's research focuses on the genealogy of the athletic male body, while his practice blends analog collage, screen-printing, sewing, mark-making, and pixel based media to smear or bare the figure, the form, and the pattern, in order to unmasc the imitation.
